Job Description


The Patient Care Coordinator is an essential part of the multidisciplinary team that provides patients with exceptional care. Duties include answering incoming calls, retrieving voicemails, and routing faxes. The coordinator will be a valuable CarePoint Neurosurgery resource for patients and referring physicians by being able to answer questions and direct the caller to the appropriate staff member as needed.

Position Requirements:

Education:


•    High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:

•    1-2 years phone or call center experience
•    1-2 years customer service experience
•    Healthcare experience preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

•    Strong attention to detail
•    Excellent phone courtesy
•    Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills
•    Excellent verbal and written communication including the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers, and payers
•    Ability to multitask
•    Strong commitment to teamwork and to supporting an ethical open working environment.

Job Responsibilities:

•    Answer incoming clinical calls from patients, referring providers, and payers
•    Routing voicemails and faxes to appropriate staff
•    Outbound calls relaying messages from providers and staff to patients
•    Scheduling appointments
•    Managing incoming medical records requests
•    Other duties as assigned

Job Type: Full-time
