ABOUT CAREPOINT NEUROSURGERY:

CarePoint Neurosurgery (CPNS) is an innovative neurosurgical practice that provides the full spectrum of neurosurgical services for patients and those involved in their care. CPNS has physicians involved in all phases of neurosurgical conditions: acute neurosurgical emergencies; neurosurgical support for hospitalized patients; and outpatient care for those with new or ongoing neurosurgical conditions. CPNS was founded in 2016 by established clinicians known throughout Denver and the Colorado region. Since then, the practice has thrived and expanded. CPNS currently has 4 outpatient practice locations and is continuing to grow in 2018! CPNS provides chronic and acute spine care; chronic and acute neurosurgical diagnoses, neuro-critical care; neurosurgical support and outreach throughout Colorado and the surrounding states. In order to bridge hospital care to outpatient care, CPNS has dedicated neurosurgeons who all have advanced fellowship training and expertise working in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. CPNS has office staff, administration, and management to encompass the full spectrum of patient needs and customer service. We are dedicated to providing excellent and compassionate patient care. The philosophy by which we practice blends a caring approach with forward thinking, up-to-date knowledge of neurosurgical disorders and treatments. This position is responsible for all aspects of patient care including but not limited to registering new patients, scheduling appointments, taking messages and recording them in the correct patient chart, relaying urgent calls from other providers or hospitals, paging physicians for consults, and other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

EXPERIENCE:

Phone or call center experience, 1 to 2 years. Healthcare experience preferred.

SKILLS:

Strong attention to detail

Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills

Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients, providers and payers

The ability to multitask

Strong commitment to actively supporting an ethical open working environment

Excellent knowledge of English spelling and grammar

Working knowledge of Word and Excel

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES:

Include the following. Other duties may be assigned if determined in the best interest of the Practice.

Answers incoming outbound clinical calls from patients.

Obtaining medical records.

Faxing Medical Records Requests

Assisting with assigning incoming faxes to the appropriate patient chart

Other miscellaneous duties.

Employees acknowledge that compliance with CarePoint"s HIPAA, Security and Compliance Plan policies and procedures as well as all other CarePoint policies and procedures is a condition of employment and that any violation will result in sanctions up to and including termination based on the type and severity of the violation. Access to and use of Protected Health Information – security clearance which allows employees to review, investigate, and respond to questions from payors. Security access permitted using the Practice"s entrances for this job category is during core hours of building management. Position is full time, 8am to 4:30pm or 8:30am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.
