Job Description

Position Summary:

The Operations Manager is responsible for the organization and oversight of staff and program for Neurosurgery. This includes supervising and directing everything from employees and budgets to technology and operations. Ensures smooth operations in these areas, aiming to maximize performance.

Position Requirements:

Education: Bachelor"s Degree

Experience: Minimum of three years of managerial experience in a healthcare clinic

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Solid understanding of budgeting, resourcing, and performance evaluation procedures

Excellent management and mentoring skills

Possess outstanding communication skills to resolve conflicts and issues

Knowledge of HIPAA and regulatory/compliance requirements in the clinic and hospital setting

Proficient in MS Office and computer systems

Job Responsibilities:

Creation of a positive work culture and teamwork environment for all direct reports

Develop personal growth for direct reports through continuous mentoring, process improvement, and teaching

Conduct regular touch points with staff to ensure frequent and fluid communication

Proactively identify roadblocks for staff and providers, and use appropriate resources to mitigate

Work with staff to develop best practices that can be applied to the division(s)

Devise strategies and plans for CarePoint Neurosurgery according to CarePoint Healthcare"s standards for excellent service and growth

Assume responsibility of budgeting and resourcing

Oversight of onboarding of new providers and clinic locations

Recruit employees to ensure departments are staffed with qualified personnel

Coordinate and supervise staff providing constructive feedback

Provide personnel with training and opportunities for continuous development

Evaluate performance and coach/discipline employees when necessary

Monitor compliance to legal guidelines, internal policies, and quality standards

Executes specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of CarePoint Healthcare

Manages staff relations including performance management, staff satisfaction, and conflict management; oversees scheduling, recruitment, and payroll

Adheres to departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts, and vendor relations

Determines and justifies needs for systems, equipment, and supplies purchases

Adheres to quality standards and goals for patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments

Ensure smooth and efficient daily operations of all clinic sites, review staffing efficiencies

Monitor and ensure efficient and successful revenue cycle

Supervises all service line staff and personnel for assigned areas

Liaise with doctors and staff to identify potential office dysfunction

Manages staff schedules and personnel performance

Reviews MD/PA schedules to ensure provider time is optimized

Coordinates staffing issues with the VP of Operations and Medical Director

Analyzes budget expenses relating to personnel, equipment, supplies, etc

Oversight of provider schedules to ensure accuracy of scheduling and maximization of providers" time

Create financial and productivity dashboard to share with providers

Other duties as assigned
