Job Description

The tech performs electroneurodiagnostic testing according to established policies and procedures, ensuring testing is safe and effective. Testing is performed on all ages. The Technician works under the supervision of a physician who is responsible for interpretation and clinical correlation of the results and reports.

Position will support different locations in the Denver Metro area from Lafayette to Lone Tree .

Responsibilities:

Performs EEG studies as ordered.

Prepare studies for MD to read on reading station/portal.

Protects the confidentiality of each patient"s information in compliance with HIPAA

Is responsible for tracking reports from acquisition to interpretation and filing

Inventory Supplies, verifying stock levels

Receives supplies and ensures supplies are properly stored

Job Requirements:

Certification & Minimum Education • Registered Electroencephalographic Technologist (R.EEG T) OR be a registry in EEG by ABRET

Current BLS certification by the American Heart Association (BLS for the Healthcare Provider) or ability to obtain prior to start date

High School Diploma or equivalent

Graduate of an electroneurodiagnostic technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation or equivalent formal training.

Experience - 2-5 years of Electroneurodiagnostic testing experience preferred

Physical Demands:

Prolonged, extensive or considerable standing/walking/sitting

Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfer patients

Must be able to lift a minimum of 50lbs Compliance, HIPAA and Security
