Position Summary: Reporting to the CEO and serving as a member of the management team, the Vice President of Finance and Operations (VP) will be responsible with developing and implementing more sophisticated policies, procedures and symptoms, both in the finance and accounting realms.

Position Requirements:

Education:

Bachelor Degree in Business or Accounting, a Master’s in Business Administration or Accounting preferred

Experience:**

Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a management role ideally with both audit and financial management experience

Experience within a healthcare setting preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:**

CPA preferred

Excellent leadership skills with demonstrated ability to effectively lead in a changing environment

Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance, to hold people accountable for achieving deliverable metrics, to encourage team participant and delegation of responsibilities as required

Ability to communicate effectively to a variety of audiences in small and large group settings.

Excellent judgment and creative solving skills including negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

Exceptional written, oral, interpersonal and presentation skills and the ability to effectively interface with senior management, board of directors and staff.

Job Responsibilities:

Advise the CEO and other members of management on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow and symptoms.

Maintain continuous lines of communication, keeping the CEO informed of critical issues.

Oversee, direct and organize the work of the finance and operations teams.

Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement that values learning and a commitment to quality.

Ensure staff members receive timely and appropriate training and development.

Establish and monitor staff performance and development goals, assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities, conduct annual performance reviews and administer salary adjustments.

Mentor and develop staff using a supportive and collaborative approach: assign accountabilities, set objectives, establish priorities and monitor and evaluate results.

Upgrade and implement an appropriate system of policies, internal controls, accounting standards and procedures.

Plan, coordinate, and execute the annual budget process.

Ensure that CarePoint Healthcare is adhering to the strategic plan, delivering status reports to the board.

Provide analytical support to internal management team including development of internal management reporting capabilities.

Improve administrative and operational accounting services such as treasury management, profit sharing plan, payroll and accounts payable.

Other duties as assigned.
