Technical Product Manager
Position Description
The Technical Product Manager will be responsible for leading, managing, and executing the vision, strategy, and roadmap for BlueSkyLink (BSL), the internal proprietary platform within CarePoint Blue Sky Neurosciences (CPN). This role will also have oversight of the other technology platforms that support BSL core functionality (e.g. AWS, Mirth engine, efax solutions). The primary responsibilities of this role include new feature scoping and prioritization; planning for maintenance, security updates, and ongoing platform improvements; product integration with external platforms; user support; evaluating the cost, feasibility, and timeline of proposed projects; and spearheading those efforts in collaboration with our vendor host. The Technical Product Manager excels at understanding the intricate details of individual features while keeping an eye on the bigger picture and long-term vision of the product and organization. The ideal candidate can effectively manage and prioritize the needs of individual components while ensuring they align with the strategic goals of the entire platform and organization.
Position Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience:
- At least 5 years of product management experience required.
- At least 3 years of healthcare IT experience required, 5 years preferred.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
- Effective investigative abilities to identify root causes and come to leadership with proposed solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Keen attention to detail for accurate and high-quality work.
- Ability to effectively communicate, present, and influence colleagues of all levels in the organization, including executive and C-level leadership.
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on business needs.

- Experience with Agile Development methodologies, including user story development and sprint management.
- Knowledge of security and compliance best practices and healthcare regulations, including HIPAA.
- Strong knowledge of Google Suite, Jira, AWS cloud solutions, software interfaces, and HL7.
- Ability to collaborate with and influence stakeholders.
Job Responsibilities
- Defines and delivers vision, strategy, and roadmap for BSL in collaboration with company leadership.
- Translates business needs into product requirements and features, ensures the product meets needs, and delivers value for users.
- Independently manages the full scope, resources, and budget for BSL, including forecasting budget requirements and analyzing variances.
- Manages vendor relationships including taking point on communication, contracting, and invoicing.
- Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders, along with subject matter experts, to ensure the successful development and maintenance of technology platforms, ensuring that requests are prioritized, communicated clearly, and remain transparent throughout the entire process from intake to delivery.
- Coordinates the completion of enterprise and application-specific security assessments.
- Monitors application performance, analyzes data, identifies opportunities for improvement, devises strategies for unexpected crises and unresolved risks, and recommends solutions.
- Plans and executes product releases and completes QA in collaboration with the vendor host.
- Coordinates interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
- Develops comprehensive project plans, including communication plans, status reports, change requests, and risk analysis, to merge client needs with company goals, strategy, and vision.
- Manages operational workflow changes in conjunction with technology solutions and application implementations.
- Develops documentation to enable implementation and turnover.
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary
$110,000 - $125,000
