CarePoint is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to join our dynamic team. This vital role is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of payroll processing for our healthcare organization, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery. Position Summary
The payroll manager will oversee and manage all aspects of payroll operations for our dynamic and growing healthcare organization. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for clinicians and administrative staff, compliance with federal and state regulations, and implementation of best practices to support our financial and operational goals. The Payroll Manager will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and collaborate with HR, Accounting, and department leaders across the organization.
Position Requirements
Education:
A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field is required.
Experience:
- 5+ years of progressive experience in payroll processing and administration, preferably in a healthcare or multi-entity environment.
- Experience managing payroll for multi-state operations.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, tax regulations, and payroll best practices.
- Proficiency in payroll systems (e.g., ADP, Paycom, UKG, or similar platforms) and Microsoft Excel.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Ability to create and manage payroll processes, Lean Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives to completion.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with cross-functional teams.
- Highly proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect and analyze data.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll processing for all employees, including physicians, clinicians, and support staff across multiple states.
- Ensure payroll is processed timely, accurately, and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Maintain and update payroll systems, records, and documentation, ensuring data integrity and confidentiality.
- Partner with HR to ensure accurate employee information including new hires, terminations, compensation changes, and benefit deductions.
- Oversee payroll tax compliance, filings, and year-end reporting including W-2s, and partner with Accounting/Finance on 1099s.
- Partner with Accounting/Finance to reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts and provide accurate reporting to the team.
- Respond to payroll inquiries and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Manage relationships with external payroll service providers and ensure optimal system performance.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation and explanations.
- Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes and lead system enhancements and automation initiatives.
- Stay current on payroll regulations and best practices.

Position Location
This is a hybrid position based out of our Greenwood Village, CO, office.
Compensation
$80,000 - $100,000 annually.
