Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a medical treatment which enhances the body's natural healing process by inhalation of 100% oxygen in a total body chamber, where atmospheric pressure is increased and controlled. It is used for a wide variety of treatments usually as a part of an overall medical care plan.

Dr. Heinz, credentialed in hyperbaric medicine, is the Medical Director of the Wound Care and Hyperbaric program at The Medical Center of Aurora. He is board certified in Emergency Medicine with over 30 years' experience. He has been named a 5280 Top Doctor in Emergency Medicine five times and has held leadership positions throughout his career.
