Ophthalmic Technician - Certified
Position Summary:
The Ophthalmic Tech - Certified will be responsible for conducting technical and administrative patient support activities that assist the professional staff in administering the healthcare and support needed for patients and families in the outpatient neuro-ophthalmic clinic. Applicants should have fluency in history taking, tonometry, OCT, VF, ancillary testing/diagnostic testing, lensometry, and other assigned duties. Strong computer and communication skills are a must! This position will be PRN (as needed) status and not eligible for benefits.

Education:
High School Diploma
Experience:**
Prefer at least 3 years of experience in a clinic setting*
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:*
Requires effective customer relation skills.
Ability to organize and interpret data.
Requires good judgment, tact, diplomacy and ability to problem solve.
Able to work effectively in a team environment.
Must be proficient with computer and related software programs.
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills*

Visual acuity measurement
Refractometry
Tonometry
Measure pupil size and reactivity
Test and measure eye muscle function
Visual field testing
Color plate assessment
Confrontation visual fields
Ptosis measurements
Corneal thickness measurement
Corneal topography
Retinal nerve fiber layer measurement
Retinal thickness and topography
Prepare for and assist with in-office procedures
Other duties as assigned
