Corporate - Regional Clinical Operations Manager, Western Region
Position Description
The Regional Clinical Operations Manager for Inpatient and Telemedicine Neurology is responsible for the oversight and operational success of neurology service lines across multiple facilities within a designated region, specifically in the states of Colorado, Idaho and Utah. This position reports to the Executive Director of Clinical Operations. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on management to ensure the delivery of high-quality, efficient, and patient-centered neurological care; both in-person and virtually.
This position serves as a key liaison between clinical teams, hospital administration, health system divisions and corporate leadership, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, regulatory compliance, and continuous performance improvement across inpatient and telehealth neurology programs.
Position Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree (Required).
- Master’s degree (MBA, MHA, MSN, or related) strongly preferred.
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years in clinical operations or healthcare management.
- At least 2 years of experience managing neurology or acute care services.
- Experience with telehealth service delivery and remote care models.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of inpatient hospital operations and neurological care models.
- Proficiency with telemedicine platforms and healthcare IT systems.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple sites and lead cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong presentation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at every level of the organization, including executive and C-level leadership.
- Proven experience in delivering solutions that address client and customer needs.
- Ability to manage multiple projects at a time while maintaining attention to detail.
Job Responsibilities
- Oversee daily clinical operations of inpatient neurology and teleneurology programs across assigned facilities.
- Coordinate coverage models and staffing strategies for neurologists and advanced practice providers, and collaborate with scheduling teams to implement.
- Ensure smooth integration and operation of telemedicine operations in cooperation with internal and external stroke coordinators and medical directors.
- Monitor and analyze clinical metrics (e.g., daily volumes, CPT code distributions) to drive performance improvements.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of standardized protocols, workflows, and care pathways in collaboration with Medical Directors and Stroke Coordinators.
- Facilitate clinical case reviews and continuing education in collaboration with Medical Directors and Stroke Coordinators.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local healthcare regulations, including CMS and Joint Commission standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of telemedicine regulations and licensure requirements across states within the region.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with hospital administrators, department heads, physicians, and nursing leadership.
- Represent the neurology service line with strategic planning and business development initiatives.
- Gather and address feedback from physicians and hospital staff to enhance service delivery.
- Collaborate with finance teams to monitor budgets, manage costs, and identify opportunities for operational efficiency.
- Support billing and coding accuracy for telemedicine and inpatient services.
- Travel to regional facilities (10-30%) in Kansas, Missouri and Georgia to conduct effective on-site management, collaboration, and operational oversight.
- Maintain availability as needed during evenings or weekends to provide team support and critical issue resolution.
- Actively participate in patient volume evaluations, requests and justifications for physician and Advanced Practice Provider staffing levels.
- Participate in provider recruitment, credentialing and onboarding activities.
- Identify improvements to existing processes to increase efficiency, quality, and service to customers.
- Other duties as assigned.
Compensation
$105,000 - $125,000 annually.
