Hospitalist (Multiple Openings)

CarePoint's Hospitalist Division is seeking full-time Hospitalists (multiple openings) to join our busy hospital medicine service at Wesley Medical Center and Woodlawn Hospital in Wichita, Kansas.

Wesley Medical Center is a complex regional referral hospital and an ACS Level I Trauma Center with multiple residency programs and comprehensive specialty services.

Job Duties

Examine and treat patients in hospital; discuss treatment and recovery options; prescribe and; administer medications.

Job Requirements

This position requires a Doctor of Medicine degree or foreign equivalent; must have 3-year residency in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine; must be board certified or board eligible; and must have Kansas state medical license or be immediately eligible for licensure.

Hospitalist Schedule and Workload

• Schedule: Flexible scheduling, including the standard 7-on / 7-off model (variable options available).
• Shifts: 5a-5p (days), 5p-5a (nights), and 5p-11p (voluntary swing).
• Commitment: twelve shifts/month minimum (full-time) or seven shifts/month minimum (part-time).
• Typical Volume:
  • > Rounds on 18-20 patients daily.
  • > Performs 2-3 admissions daily.
