Position Description
CarePoint is seeking a full-time Healthcare Data Analyst II in Greenwood Village, CO. The Healthcare Data Analyst II contributes to the strategic design, development, and implementation of advanced analytical solutions and data systems across CarePoint’s clinical service lines. This role supports data initiatives in high-impact areas, including Emergency Medicine, Teleneurology, Hospitalist Medicine, and Inpatient Neurology. The Data Analyst II acts as an architect for the Power BI environment, manages complex PostgreSQL database infrastructures, and conducts high-level requirements gathering with executive leadership. They translate clinical and business needs into predictive data models encompassing clinical quality, operations, patient experience, and revenue performance.

This is a full-time position located in Greenwood Village, CO, accompanied by a yearly salary ranging from $103,854 to $140,000, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
Advanced Analytics & Predictive Modeling:
- Design and execute complex statistical analyses and predictive models using Python and R (regression, trend forecasting, and clinical variability modeling) to drive operational efficiency in high-acuity environments.
- Develop enterprise-level data models in Power BI using DAX, Power Query (M), and SQL to provide deep-dive insights into clinical quality of care and patient experience metrics.
- Perform advanced statistical outlier detection and analysis to identify anomalies in clinical performance, patient throughput, and other relevant metrics, ensuring data integrity and driving targeted process improvements.
- Triangulate disparate data sets—synthesizing clinical quality, financial, and operational data—to identify systemic process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
- Apply expertise in healthcare coding taxonomies (ICD-10 and CPT) to analyze clinical outcomes and service utilization across multi-specialty portfolios.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with healthcare regulations (HIPAA, PHI handling)
Strategic Requirements Gathering & Consultation:
- Participate in formal requirements gathering sessions with senior leadership to define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) related to healthcare operations, clinical quality, provider productivity, and revenue cycle performance.
- Translate complex business objectives regarding emergency medicine, hospitalist, and neurology (both inpatient and teleneurology) service lines into structured technical specifications and analytical roadmaps.
- Present actionable findings and recommendations to administration, directly influencing operational and financial decision-making.
Data Architecture & PostgreSQL Management:
- Assists in the architecture and maintenance of complex PostgreSQL database structures to support high-volume healthcare data ingestion across multiple clinical service lines.
- Develop and maintain advanced ETL processes and data pipelines using AWS Lambda functions and Python to ensure seamless data flow from multiple sources.
- Optimize advanced SQL queries and stored procedures to ensure high performance of real-time dashboards monitoring productivity and revenue.
- Help establish and enforce data governance standards, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of clinical and financial data dictionaries and documentation.
- Automation & Process Leadership
- Support the identification and implementation of enterprise-level automation for data collection and cleaning processes using Python scripts, establishing scalable and repeatable system designs.
- Mentor junior staff on data visualization best practices, Power BI development, advanced SQL techniques, and Python-based data manipulation.
- Follow quality control processes to ensure the continuity, accuracy, and quality of all data products delivered to internal and external stakeholders.
Qualifications
This position requires a Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Analytics, Data Science, or Database Technologies, and 12 months of experience in data analytics/data science or business intelligence. Must also have 12 months of experience with each of the following: 1) Working with ICD-10 diagnostic and CPT procedure codes for clinical and financial data modeling. 2) Working with large relational databases and PostgreSQL (data manipulation and management: complex joins, CTEs, query optimization, window functions, nested subqueries). 3) Working with Power BI, including enterprise-level dashboard development, data modeling, DAX, M, advanced data visualization, and app development. 4) Using R and Python (including ETL, data wrangling, automation, and statistical libraries). 5) Performing analyses of clinical healthcare data in Emergency Medicine, Hospitalist Medicine, Teleneurology, and Inpatient Neurology related to clinical quality, healthcare operations, patient experience (including Press Ganey data), productivity, and revenue. 6) Performing exploratory data analysis, descriptive and predictive analytics, forecasting, and regression modeling. 7) Performing high-level requirements gathering and presenting technical data effectively to non-technical executive stakeholders. Will accept experience gained before, during or after Master’s program. Employer will accept experience gained concurrently.
