Our '"why," or our mission, at CarePoint is simply to provide the best care possible we can for our patients. Because of that, we attract a lot of like-minded people who are passionate and driven both inside and outside the hospital. They're exactly the kind of people you want to work hard and play hard alongside.

For me, being part of a democratic, physician-led group was very important. The field of emergency medicine seems to be a bit at a crossroads, with large, private equity-backed groups on one side and smaller, democratic groups on the other. While there's no right answer for everyone, I wanted to have an equal voice as part of a group, and know the people that I work for, and of course, have them know me.
