Blue Sky Neurology is looking for a neurologist who is board eligible/certified in neurocritical care to join our growing Division of Neurocritical Care. This position requires clinical skills and training in primary neurocritical care management. It involves attending on a busy neurocritical care service at Swedish Medical Center in Denver, CO. Swedish is a Comprehensive Stroke and Level I trauma regional referral center with patients flown in from multiple states surrounding Colorado. Outreach is based on a robust telemedicine network.
The NCCU is an 18 bed dedicated neuro ICU staffed by subspecialty trained nurses, and a CNS neurocritical care coordinator and educator and has been recognized as an HCA Unit of Distinction. Patient care is led by the neurointensivist, coordinating care with neurosurgeons, neurohospitalists, neuro-interventionalists, intensivists, and trauma surgeons, epileptologists, stroke NPs, as well as a full complement of clinical care specialists. An ACGME accredited neurology residency provides teaching opportunities as well as staffing the unit. There are opportunities to participate in several clinical research trials.
This is a great opportunity to join and a neurocritical care program that is advancing neurocritical care to a nationally recognized and cutting edge level, and be one of the earliest neurointensivists to fully staff the unit. Blue Sky Neurology is one of the largest neurohospitalist practices, and is part of a larger multi-specialty privately owned practice, Carepoint Health, that spans multiple states. Candidates should have completed a Neurocritical care fellowship in an accredited institution and be board certified or board eligible in Neurocritical Care and must hold an active Colorado medical license at the time of appointment.
