Moab Regional Hospital (MRH), a critical-access facility in Moab, UT, has selected CarePoint to provide emergency care and leadership at its emergency department.

Twelve CarePoint clinicians are now delivering care at the MRH ED, which opened in 2011 and sees about 6,000 patients annually.

“We were especially impressed by CarePoint’s commitment to clinical quality, particularly in the treatment of time-sensitive conditions like strokes, heart attacks, and trauma,” MRH CEO Jennifer Sadoff said. “Their depth of expertise will help ensure our protocols and procedures deliver the best possible care to our community.”

Andrew Florence, MD, a CarePoint physician since 2006, serves as the ED’s medical director.

With the addition of Moab, CarePoint now staffs 21 EDs across Utah, serving both urban and rural communities. In total, CarePoint clinicians provide emergency care at 47 EDs across five states and care for nearly 1 million patients each year.

“We were especially impressed by CarePoint’s commitment to clinical quality, particularly in the treatment of time-sensitive conditions like strokes, heart attacks, and trauma. Their depth of expertise will help ensure our protocols and procedures deliver the best possible care to our community.”
