February 02, 2026
CarePoint emergency medicine physician Brent Levy, MD, a Denver native who was born at HCA HealthONE Rose and now practices at Rose, has been named a 2025 Doctor by 5280 Magazine and Castle Connolly.
Only a select few of the tens of thousands of licensed physicians in Colorado receive Top Doctor honors each year. Of the roughly 1,900 emergency medicine physicians in the state, only 47 were recognized in 2025.
5280 and Castle Connolly, a New York-based healthcare research and information company, partner annually to create a list of the top physicians in the country. The digital nomination process allows licensed doctors nationwide to recommend candidates in any medical specialty in any part of the country for the honor. Castle Connolly’s physician-led research team then thoroughly vets each nominated doctor’s professional qualifications, education, hospital and faculty appointments, research leadership, professional reputation, disciplinary history, and, if available, outcomes data. Also considered in the review process are the physician’s interpersonal skills, such as listening and communicating effectively, demonstrating empathy, and instilling trust and confidence.
“Dr. Levy’s journey speaks to both his dedication to our community and his excellence as a physician leader. We are incredibly proud to call Dr. Levy a CarePoint physician and congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.”
- Mark Kozlowski, MD, CarePoint CEO
Dr. Levy serves as medical director of the Rose emergency department and is also the hospital’s medical staff president. He has served on CarePoint’s Board of Directors since 2023 as well.
Dr. Levy joined CarePoint in 2015 after completing his emergency medicine residency at Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center in New Hampshire, where he was chief resident. He graduated cum laude from Middlebury College in Vermont and completed medical school at the University of Colorado.
“Dr. Levy’s journey speaks to both his dedication to our community and his excellence as a physician leader,” CarePoint CEO Mark Kozlowski, MD, said. “We are incredibly proud to call Dr. Levy a CarePoint physician and congratulate him on this outstanding achievement.”
