Swedish Medical Center (Englewood, CO) has been named an “America’s 100 Best Stroke Care” facility by Healthgrades for the third year in a row.

The hospital received the award for its “superior clinical outcomes in the care and treatment of stroke,” according to Healthgrades.

Swedish’s stroke program is managed by a 26-member team of Blue Sky Neurology physicians and advanced practice providers — Maysun Ali, DO; Trevor Barton, DO; Russell Bartt, MD; Alicia Bennett, DO; Christian Burrell, MD; Ira Chang, MD; Ravi Chilukuri, MD; Kathryn Chubrilo, DO; Cynthia Dickerson, DO; Celeste Dolan, MD; Jennifer Eaton, PA-C; Chris Fanale, MD; Ryan Fay, PA-C; Adam Graham, MD; Judd Jensen, MD; Crystal Jones, NP; Kourosh Kahkeshani, DO; Inhyup Kim, DO; Jonathan Kleinman, MD; Emily Lampe, MD; Lauren Middleton, DO; Zach Norman, MD; Rod Spencer, MD; Alexis Taylor, MD; Lionel Thomas, DO; and Jeffrey Wagner, MD.

Blue Sky has been managing Swedish’s stroke program since 2005 and has played an integral role in the growth of the hospital’s neurology service line, including stroke care, in that time. In all, Blue Sky manages the stroke programs of more than 20 hospitals in six states.

Recently, Swedish celebrated its 11th anniversary as a Comprehensive Stroke Center — the highest level of stroke certification that hospitals can receive. As of 2022, there were only 297 Comprehensive Stroke Centers in the U.S.

“We are honored to receive this recognition from Healthgrades. We believe this is a reflection of the commitment our Blue Sky Providers have toward treating stroke emergently 24/7 with all resources and advanced treatments available to ensure the best outcomes for our patients and community,” Dr. Lampe said. “Swedish Medical Center has been our partner in developing this sophisticated and comprehensive stroke program. We value this partnership and look forward to its growth and development in the years to come.”

We’re extremely proud of and thankful for all our physicians and APPs at Swedish and the life-changing work they do each and every day.
