Gwendolyn Dooley Tapped as CarePoint Health’s Chief People Officer

Gwendolyn Dooley, MPM, NP, ACC, a national speaker, thought leader, certified professional and executive coach, and longtime healthcare leader, has been named CarePoint Health’s Chief People Officer, effective January 1, 2025. In her new role, Dooley will oversee all aspects of CarePoint’s people, culture, and strategic initiatives, including talent acquisition, employee engagement and retention, and organizational development.
Dooley had been CarePoint’s Vice President of People, Growth, & Strategy since January 2024. Before that, she was a Vice President of Operations for the privately held multispecialty physician practice for seven years.

Dooley is a widely recognized leadership development speaker, renowned for her expertise and ability to inspire audiences with dynamic and thought-provoking presentations. This year alone, she has spoken at the MGMA National Conference in Denver, CO, (presentation title: “Leading Through the Gray: Unlocking Your Greatest Potential”) the Women in Healthcare National Conference in Atlanta, GA, (“Leadership Versatility: Running Toward Discomfort”) and the Colorado ACEP Leadership Conference in Beaver Creek, CO (“Maximizing Influence: Utilizing the Power of Crucial Conversations”). She was also featured on the MGMA Insights Podcast in September. At CarePoint, she developed a rich, years-long leadership development program for clinicians and non-clinicians alike.
Her expertise doesn’t stop at leadership development, however. Recently, she collaborated with CarePoint’s Board of Directors and executive leadership team to develop a strategic plan and vision to guide the company’s direction through 2030. She is adept at solving operational challenges of all shapes and sizes, having worked in both clinical and non-clinical settings. Additionally, as a certified peer support specialist, she helps CarePoint’s physicians and advanced practice providers navigate the system stressors inherent in today’s healthcare environment.
“Gwen brings wide-ranging expertise and exceptional skills to the role of Chief People Officer,” Dr. Kozlowski said. “Her ability to align people strategies with business goals will be invaluable as we continue to grow and strengthen our practice.”
Before joining CarePoint, Dooley held various roles at Radiology Imaging Associates in Greenwood Village, CO: Nurse Practitioner and Practice Manager, Senior Manager of Physician Operations, and Chief Operating Officer.
Dooley holds Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Master of Science in Nurse Practitioner degrees from Regis University. She also holds a Master’s of Project Management & Leadership degree from Colorado State University. She earned a certificate in Professional & Executive Coaching from the University of Texas at Dallas and is certified as an Associate Certified Coach by the International Coaching Federation.
