In keeping with its commitment to investing in its clinicians and staff and their professional growth, CarePoint Health has selected Harvard Medical School graduate and former J.P. Morgan associate Thomas Church, MD, for a two-year administrative fellowship.

Dr. Church completed his Emergency Medicine training at Riverside Community Hospital (Riverside, CA) and holds a bachelor’s degree in Mathematical Economics from Pomona College (Claremont, CA). Before pursuing a career in medicine, he worked in technology investment banking and business development at the multinational finance company J.P. Morgan in New York City.

The fellowship will enable him to combine his business background with his medical training to help support CarePoint’s clinical and business operations while also building a diverse career.

As part of the fellowship, Dr. Church will enroll in the Kelley School of Business’s hybrid Physician MBA program at Indiana University (Indianapolis, IN). He will also work clinically in the Swedish Medical Center (Englewood, CO) and Wesley Medical Center (Wichita, KS) emergency rooms.

Dr. Church is a former search-and-rescue volunteer and was a starting pitcher on Pomona’s baseball team. In his free time, he is an avid rock climber.
